FPC/Fire Protection Contractor magazine will once again feature Fire Sprinkler Industry History and Historic Photos in our March 2026 edition, and we welcome your contributions! Every March we publish our history feature to mark the anniversary of the first edition of FPC, published in March 1978.

We encourage you to share short stories, articles, anecdotes, or simply a photograph with a caption. All submissions should pertain to the fire sprinkler industry (from the year 2000 or earlier). Articles should be 600-800 words or less.
Original photos can be scanned and returned, or you can email us high-resolution electronic files in .jpg or .tif format.
Stories, articles, and anecdotes may include:
A “Then vs. Now” article, or “When I started in this industry…”
A story about an old fire sprinkler installation.
A story about your first job, mentor, and/or coworkers.
Memorabilia or collections you may have.
All ideas and thoughts are welcome.
Send items and any related photographs by February 2, 2026. Please let us know if you plan to send us something for this or a future edition; deadline extensions may be available. (Items received late may be published in a future edition.)
Please share this with someone in the industry that may be interested!
Thank you for your consideration.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Brant R. Brumbeloe
